Clinical Governance and Staff Training

The Surgery will close at 1.00pm for staff training, which is an element of Clinical Governance at least four times per year.  We will of course give patients advance warning of these closures.

Clinical Governance is a term which covers a range of activities in which clinicians and practice staff are involved (education and training, clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, research and development, openness, risk management and information management) in order to maintain and improve the quality of the care they provide to patients and to ensure full accountability of the system to patients.

The 2018 closure dates will be:

  • Thursday 15th February 2018
  • Wednesday 2nd May 2018
  • Thursday 9th August 2018
  • Wednesday 31st October 2018

If you need a doctor when the Surgery is closed, please phone '111' for advice.  For life-threatening conditions such as chest pain or collapse, please dial 999.
