Your URGENT Referral
Sometimes your GP would like you to see a hospital doctor (specialist) urgently. This could be to investigate your symptoms further. You might have some tests to find out what is wrong and to see if it could be cancer.
Your GP will explain the appointment process and you are likely to receive written information about your appointment.
It is normal to worry when you are urgently referred to see a specialist.
However, 9 in every 10 people (90%) referred this way will not be diagnosed with cancer. |
