Ely PCNs Covid Vaccinations – Update 14 April

Ely PCNs logo
Hi everyone!
A few quick updates from us this week. Latest stats:
  • Total 39,000 vaccines delivered, including over 10,500 second doses
  • We are above target on ALL of Cohorts 1-9 in both Ely North and Ely South PCNs, except for people with Learning Disabilities in Ely South – we are 1.5% off target. We’d love to exceed that target so if you are, or are a carer for, someone with Learning Disabilities who hasn’t yet had their vaccine, please call your practice!
More good news: we have signed up to continue vaccinating so, as national guidance allows, we will be opening up our clinics and inviting all of cohorts 10-12 (i.e. everyone aged 18-50).
We received the go ahead to invite over 45 year olds today. Exciting! As you know the supply for first doses is a bit limited in April, so we will be offering appointments but please don’t be disappointed if you don’t manage to get a slot – there will be more as supply increases.
As we have asked before, please do wait until you’re contacted to book an appointment; or we specifically ask you to call us. Our reception teams are incredibly busy fielding all the usual care alongside enquiries about vaccinations so your patience really does help a huge amount. Thank you!
Lastly – the all-important THANK YOU to all the volunteers and staff who braved some pretty cold weather last week! And a little heads up – as things open up and more people need to go back to work, we may well need to make a new appeal for volunteers – we’re trying to get the timing right for this relative to deliveries so there’s lots of opportunity, but watch this space!
