A carer can be anyone, including children and adults, who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, and could not cope without their support.
If you are a Carer please let us know – we may be able to help you.
You may not immediately think of yourself as a carer. You might feel that you are just “doing your job”. Caring for someone can be very difficult and many people find that they sometimes need extra help with the care they provide.
If you or someone you know needs help with day-to-day living because of illness or disability, the NHS website explains your options and where you can get support.
