Staff training is important to us. We regularly review our staff to ensure they have the right qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience to do their job when they start their employment, when they take on new responsibilities and on an ongoing basis.
We cover mandatory training for all staff including basic life support, infection control, fire safety and safeguarding. For our clinical staff we offer specific training appropriate to their role including immunisation, cervical smear and long term condition updates .
Once a quarter, the surgery closes for whole practice training and our proposed closures are:-
- Wednesday 16th March 2022 – 1.00pm – 6.00pm
- Thursday 16th June 2022 – 1.00pm – 6.00pm
- Wednesday 14th September 2022 – 1.00pm – 6.00pm
- Thursday 17th November 2022 – 1.00pm – 6.00pm
During these sessions our emergency calls are diverted to a call handling service. If you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, then call the 01353 740205 and your call will be diverted.
In a true emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
