Appointments

How to contact us if you need to see or speak to a clinician.

We run a demand-led service and so routine appointments are only available for blood tests, cervical screening, and regular repeat treatments such as dressings or injections. Please telephone the Practice to book yourself in.

For all other queries, please contact us when you need us and we will action all queries on the same or following day.

We prefer our patients to contact us first online. However, if you are unable to use these systems for any reason, please just phone or visit your practice and we will make sure that you are looked after.

  1. Contact us through askmyGP.
  2. Phone us Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm:
  3. Visit the surgery and speak with a patient services advisor. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm.

The information you give us will be used by a senior clinician to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.

Enhanced Access Appointments

Along with our colleagues in the Ely Primary Care Networks we offer enhanced access appointments throughout the week. These are pre-booked appointments which are available during the evenings (between 6.30pm – 8pm) and on Saturdays (between 9am – 5pm). We may offer these clinics as an option when booking your appointment. Please let us know if these slots are preferable when contacting us.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email.

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you can get help sooner.

To cancel or change an appointment

If you are unable to attend for some reason, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we may offer the appointment to someone else. You can let us know by:

  • Phone us Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm:
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a patient services advisor. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm.

Home visits

In general, home visits are only available for patients who are genuinely housebound and too unwell to come to the surgery.

If you feel you are eligible please try and phone before 11:00am.

You will be phoned back by a clinician from the Duty Team to assess your medical need. If a home visit is arranged it may not be your registered doctor who will come to see you.

If you need help when we are closed

If the situation is an emergency or life threatening, dial 999 and ask for an ambulance.

For urgent medical advice between 6.30pm and 8.30am weekdays, or during weekends and Bank Holidays, use NHS 111.

For children under 5 phone 111.

For people aged 5 and over go to the 111.nhs.uk website.

[Include information about 111, urgent treatment centres, extended access and late-night pharmacies.]

  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email.
